A long time ago all I wanted to do was run an underground newspaper or broadcast via pirate radio waves. Fortunately for you the Internet wasn't a viable delivery method yet and the means of delivering my message was cost prohibitive. My youthful angst was relegated to obscurity.
Even though it has mellowed over time, I still have a voice and I love to tell stories. The filmmaking process uses all aspects of who I am. I draw from my leadership, management and organizational background when seeing a production through from beginning to end. My need to create is quenched by writing, shooting and editing. And, for me, the long hours seem to pass in minutes. A 16-hour day on set is my very own playground. I enjoy the process with its quirks and challenges.
The projects displayed here were shot and edited by me. Some of them are silly and were born out of a desire to make my friends and classmates laugh. Although, for the most part, I think they give a pretty good indication of what I can do. Ultimately my dream is to spend my time bringing words alive on screen. Until someone decides to pay me to do this, I'll be working on more of these personal projects in my spare time.
Let me know what you think.
